(More customer reviews)We installed this device on our commercial hot water heater after experiencing a flood resulting from our building's hot water heater leaking. Even though the hot water heater was installed properly with retaining pan that funneled water to a drain through PCV pipe, the sediment in the tank clogged the drain and resulted in 2000 gallons of water in our business. After hot water heater was replaced, this device was installed as a preventative measure. 2 years later, the supply line coupling started to leak, The device shut off the water supply, power, and sent an audible alarm, thus possibly diverting a repeat performance. The unit is also reusable. Some devices on the market are one-time use only. Great investment.
