(More customer reviews)The Homesitter exceeded my expectations in every way. It called me a week after I installed it and advised me of a power failure. Later on it called again and told me there was a power failure and a low temperature condition. After going to the property and lighting an auxiliary heater, it called me to say that there was a power failure, but no temperature alarm. Finally it called to tell me that its batteries were getting low (power was still out). At one point I called the phone at the property to see if the answering machine would pick up. If it did, I would know that the power had been restored. To my surprise, the Homesitter answered and said there was a power failure.
The only negative is the wire on the water sensor is very short, but it does tell you what gauge wire to use to extend it. The supplied wire is not long enough to extend the water sensor to a basement sump while positioning the Homesitter unit in the house proper for temperature sensing.
