(More customer reviews)This device appears to be exactly what I needed to provide an early warning in the event my in-house water heater begins leaking. I tested the unit and it seems to be quite sensitive to the presence of event small amounts of moisture. The sound level is more than adequate. Installation couldn't be simpler. Just insert a 9-volt alkaline battery and place the unit on the floor adjacent to the water heater. The four pins that extend from the bottom of the case are made of stainless steel. The battery should be replaced annually.
